Fall 2015: Message from the President

Friendship. Character. Justice. Education.

As the 2015-2016 school year begins this fall, the Tri-State Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity wishes to take this opportunity to remember our most basic values, reflect on our accomplishments, and set new goals for the future. Delta Chi remains a definitive leader, both on-campus and across the international stage. Thank you to all active members, alumni, family, and friends who work tirelessly to help our Chapter continue to be one of the best here and across the globe.

It is my pleasure to announce that this Fall Associate Member class is the largest the house has seen in several years, thanks to the dedication of the active brothers and extensive work completed by the Recruitment Committee. On September 22nd, the Chapter pinned 13 individuals. These young men show great promise and will one day make great additions to our already outstanding brotherhood.

Every year, Trine University recognizes the most outstanding fraternity on-campus at the Fall Homecoming with the Trine University President’s Cup. This past weekend, Delta Chi was honored during the afternoon’s football game, receiving our 5th President’s Cup in the last 6 years. Tremendous congratulations and thanks to everyone who made this feat possible, and we hope to keep the streak alive for many more years to come!

Finally, the Chapter has set impressive goals for paying off the new house’s mortgage. Housing Corporation has been working extremely hard to manage our investments to prepare for the final push. In Spring 2019, the Chapter will celebrate our 50th Anniversary of our official founding on May 24th, 1969. BY this time, we will have completed the new house payments and gather on Alumni Weekend to BURN THE MORTGAGE! This wouldn’t have been possible without the huge generosity of our alumni base, so we hope to see lots of old and new friends at the house here on the 50th Anniversary.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported and continues to support the Tri-State Chapter. Look out for this semester’s edition of the Red and Buff, coming in November!

In The Bond,

David Roach
